I think we got him for alot less than £12m, but with a big sell-on fee. I really doubt the Davids are willing to take another risk like Carroll again. The David's have been in this business for long and wont walk into the same trap over and over again. They would have been bankrupt by this time if they were so awful as someone here makes them. Think there is much more to him. I know very little about Valencia and thats why im sceptical, but as a team on the up we should be risking money to maybe get a superstar. Thats the only way a club like ours can get these players Its a gamble, but we should be taking these chances. Everyone else is spending like madmen. The £12m tag takes alot of criticism away from the owners, so im pretty sure they are happy with it being displayed in the media so often. Without a bet you wont win. COME ON YOU IRONS!

I think most people with knowledge of how we have been playing under BFS would rightly be concerned
Valencia could turn out to be the next Suarez or he could turn out to be the next Savio ~ It's far too early to say & the lad should be given plenty of opportunities before any judgement is made
To get the best out of him a change of style is quite definitely required. The question is whether or not BFS is capable of doing that
You would assume he hasn't just been signed on the strength of his WC efforts
The greatest concern is that he could have been signed by DS without the approval of BFS, & if that is the case, he may not get a lot of game time

If you want to think a player is shit you can watch him for 90 minutes (or 20 in Valencia's case) and find enough proof that he is. If you want to like him you can watch him for the same 90 minutes and find proof he's a good player.
